hey man here is the one and only reason to ride brakeless if u dont know untill u have: (from a bike check with allen cooke)
How long ago did you take your brakes off and how has it been treating you?
I think I took them off in November of ‘08. I love it man, it’s the best. It shouldn’t be any different than riding a bike with brakes and not using them but it is—it can’t be explained. Get a 5mm Allen and some cable cutters; you will not be bummed.

hey, yeh it gets like that. um not many riders here in taree, prob about 6 or so, but there are quite a few trails around. prob the best would be the downhill track that mates and i built, it used to be a 4wd track until it got to the stage where they couldnt drive up it, that just gives you an idea how steep it is. haha. just hell tech. anyway, im moving to newy today (monday) and need to find some riders. im moving into the merewether area. any chance we can catch up, and you can show me some stuff around town?

thanks for all the praise. i agree with you completely. i don't like what specialized has done with the newer model p. bikes at all. my year was one of the last great ones. and i don't ride 4X i just liked the specs on the fork and thought i'd try it out. its been working out really well for dj/urban riding. and don't worry i love the thing more than i love some people. : ]
